Sikles Trek Overview

Sikles Trek of the Annapurna Region is the least explored trek destination located northeast of Pokhara. The trekking offers you an untouched natural environment with beautiful villages and an experience of traditional cultures throughout your track.

Sikles village lies above the Mardi river and the community holds the 2nd largest Gurkha community in Nepal. Prince Charles of England visited this community in 1980 for appreciating the Gurkha's.

Apart from the beautiful mountain views,  - the cultivated land, terraced field, traditionally built houses, stone-paved path, Gumbas, & wide varieties of chirping birds, passing through dense rhododendron woods throughout the route makes trekking to Sikles longing for every trekker.

The village is pretty much occupied by the Gurung ethnic group and ex-Gurkhas who participated in the Second World War. Shaman practice can also be observed with rituals and ceremonies on certain occasions, making this place very fascinating for outsiders.

Although the trial is a less explored one, this region will not disappoint you in rendering the experience of a lifetime as well as heart-touching memories.

Observing handmade local handicrafts, viewing the Begnas Tal (lake) - the 2nd largest lake after Phewa lake, taste local foods, be close with the locals, and observing their culture, tradition, and lifestyle are few popular activities we sought out on this trek
