Difficulty Level while Climbing Pokalde Peak

Pokalde Peak climbing is one of the easier ‘trekking peaks’ to scale in Nepal. Climbers don’t require any technical alpine skills such as using crampons, ice ax, ropes, etc. However, you will need to have good stamina with physical fitness and activeness.

Altitude sickness is very common while trekking to such a high altitude. You could consult a doctor regarding medications for altitude sickness before climbing the journey while carrying cloves, garlic, etc. could also be helpful. You should trek gradually from lowland to upper hills to give your body time to adjust to the new climatic situation and avoid altitude sickness.

The terrain of Pokalde peak is considered to be simple and easy however you should avoid climbing Pokalde peak during harsh weather. Also, you should take precautionary measures for a smooth and stress-free trek experience on steep and rocky routes.

Best Season for Pokalde Peak Climbing

Climbing to an altitude of 5806 meters is no joke due to its steep routes an unpredictable climate. Weather is a crucial factor to consider during peak climbing in Nepal. There are two best seasons for peak climbing in Nepal: Autumn and Spring.

4 Days Pokalde Peak Climbing in Autumn

Weather in the autumn season (September to November) is more stable and predictable in high elevations. Since it is a post-monsoon period, there are very few chances of rainfall or snowfall which could be a barrier to a smooth trek. As autumn is also a season of festivals in Nepal, climbers can also enjoy and experience the cultural richness of Nepal along with a thrilling adventure full of views of the majestic mountains around Pokalde Peak.

4 Days Pokalde Peak Climbing in Spring

The season of spring (March to May) has a very moderate climatic situation with the blooming of beautiful flowers all around the trekking trails in Nepal. Similar to autumn, the weather condition in spring is also very stable in high elevations which allows a safe trek to Pokalde Peak. In the spring season, trekkers will experience a fresh trek through beautiful trekking trails along with vistas of the great Himalayas around the Everest region such as Makalu, Everest, and Cho Oyu, etc.

4 Days Pokalde Peak Climbing in Early Winter

As Pokalde peak is an easy ‘trekking peak’, it is feasible to scale even in the month of December. At this time, there will be very few tourists and the vistas of mountains are crystal clear due to the scarcity of rainfall during the winter season. However, there could be snowfall during December.
