Island Peak Climb Budget Service Overview

Do you want a sole experience of just climbing and reaching the summit of Island Peak? If that's the case, you've come to the correct place. Himalayan Trekkers offer you an affordable and budget-friendly 4 Days package of Island Peak Climbing beginning from Chhukung. Island Peak Climbing, also famously known as Imja Tse, looks like an actual island from Dingboche surrounded by the Ice Sea which lies in the Khumbu region of Nepal.

Island Peak, with a height of 6189 meters, is one of the desirable and comparatively easy ‘trekking peaks’ in Nepal. The route to the summit is filled with thrill, adventure, and scenic vistas of majestic mountains such as Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Makalu, Ama Dablam, etc. along with exploration of the beautiful Everest region.

The climbing experience of Island Peak can be a great first-time higher altitude climb experience for beginner and veteran trek enthusiasts. Climbing to the summit of Island Peak can be a good confidence boost for beginners as well as can be considered as a preparation for scaling higher altitudes such as Annapurna Circuit, Annapurna Sanctuary, Mt. Everest, Mt. Kanchenjunga, etc.

This 4 Days package of Island Peak climbing has been designed for those independent trekkers who need a little assistance during the scaling experience of Island peak. Our team will welcome you to the village of Chhukung and guide you to the top of Island Peak from there.

Route for Island Peak Climbing Services

You will reach the village of Chhukung independently and you will meet with our team of expert guides and crew there. Our team will join your adventurous journey and guide you throughout the climbing period of Island Peak. From the Sherpa settlement in Chhukung, you will head your way uphill to Island Base Camp where you will stay overnight in tents. While trekking toward high camp, you will come across Imja Lake which is a beautiful lake along with beautiful mountainous views. You will have to pass a few technical sections with rough, steep, and snowy routes during the summit day which will be all very ‘worth it’ once you reach the peak and absorb the amazing vibe and view from there. The descending trail will be much easier than the ascending one but you have to be careful of slippery snow on the way.

The difficulty level of Island Peak Climbing Services

Trekking to a height of 6189 meters is not an easy journey. There will be a few difficult paths on the way you have to deal with to reach your destination. The very first difficulty you will encounter while traveling to such a high elevation is altitude sickness. Our team will take gradual steps to avoid altitude sickness and let your body adjust to the weather change with the change in altitude.

There is some technical portion one has to overcome while scaling this mountain. It could be difficult for a novice trekker to acknowledge the steep routes and cross over glaciers. In these technical sections, the training for using mountaineering gears such as ropes, ice axes, crampons, etc. comes handy.

You cannot exactly predict the weather in such high regions. There are chances of having to face a few harsh kinds of weather during the climb which can be dealt with better acclimatization and getting daily updates before the climb.

Best Season for Island Peak Climbing

The best time for peak climbing experience in Nepal is during autumn and spring.

4 Days Island Peak Climbing in Autumn

A stable climatic situation on the trail to the peak makes autumn, the best time for Island Peak climbing. During autumn, many festivals are celebrated in Nepal which you can experience on your way to Chhukung before starting the climbing process. There is very little rainfall or snowfall from September to November which can be dealt with by a trekker during the climb.

4 Days Island Peak Climbing in Spring

The season of spring is neither too hot nor cold, a perfect climatic situation to go for Island Peak climbing. Stable weather conditions avoid the chances of harsh climates in the higher region of Island Peak and enable a smooth and stress-free trek. With the blooming of beautiful flowers like rhododendron on the hillside, the route to the Island peak will be very mesmerizing and soothing.

4 Days Island Peak Climbing in Early Winter

You can make your trip to the summit of Island Peak even in early winter (December) when the climate is not as harsh as monsoon and the temperature isn’t extremely freezing. However, you need to carry all the necessary mountaineering gear with warm clothes.
