Chitlang is a beautiful village in Makawanpur district located at the South-West of Kathmandu. On Chitlang Homestay Tour, you get to experience the richness and diversity of Nepalese culture. Chitlang is famous for cultivating local pears and extracting liquor out of it. The people of this community rely on farming and animal husbandry, especially goat. Local goat cheese is very famous from Chitlang and is even exported to foreign countries. We recommend you to taste the freshly made and delicious goat cheese as well.
The way to Chitlang is from Thankot, one out of four check-point, and the busiest entry-exit point of Kathmandu. You are driven passing through the trail of Chandragiri Hills. It will take about 3 to 4 hours drive to reach the destination. For accommodation, you are accommodated with the locals.
After experiencing and enjoying couple of days at Chitlang, you head towards Indra Sarovar, a beautiful and eye-opening holy lake situated at an awesome location. It will take about an hour's drive on a private bus/ vehicle. You can as well do boating or fishing in Indra Sarovar Lake.
